Prior to becoming a manual Osteopath, she worked in the community as a physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistant.  She has worked with clients who had a wide range of different conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, post stroke, ALS, hip and knee replacements, spinal fractures, and many other ailments.  

Melissa believes that health is much more than just the absence of pain.  

It is all about the body function in harmony.  Rather than only addressing clients symptoms, she will asses the entire picture, such as – posture, habits, and her clients health history, in order to find the root cause of discomfort.  Together with all this information, she is able to create the best care plan.  Whether her client is experiencing chronic back pain, sports injuries, or general aches and pains, her goal is to use holistic manual techniques to help support the body’s natural ability to heal.
